[греч. phagos — пожирающий]один из наиболее просто устроенных фагов (см. фаги), состоящий из одноцепочечной молекулы ДНК размером около 7000 н., окруженной белковой оболочкой из 2700 субъединиц, которые упакованны по спирали. Оболочка вируса носит название капсид (см. капсид), а структура в целом — нуклеокапсид. Ф.
